Orville Armbrust pitched well in his three games in the major leagues in September 1934, with a record of 1-0 and an ERA of 2.l3. One source says that Armbrust's major league victory came over the New York Yankees in the last game that Babe Ruth appeared in a Yankee uniform. Red Ruffing was the starter for the Yankees that day.

Armbrust pitched in the Texas League in 1936-38.
