Orlando Sanchez played for the Santurce Crabbers in the Puerto Rico Winter League. As a major leaguer, he was selected in the Rule V draft twice.
In 2009, Sanchez managed the Saraperos de Saltillo to their second Mexican League pennant. He took them to another title in 2010. When the team started 2011 35-50, though, he was sacked in favor of Noé Muñoz.
