Orie Arntzen was in the major leagues only one year, but pitched in the minors from 1931-51, winning 198 games in the minors.
In 1949, Arntzen was still in professional baseball, and earned the Sporting News's Minor League Player of the Year award for his 25-2 record (2.79 ERA) for the Albany Senators of the Eastern League. He had been in the minor leagues since 1931, with only a single season of major league experience.
