Ode Voigt was a star at Wheaton High School and the University of Illinois. After some years in the minors, he came to the majors in 1924.
Voigt was not particularly effective as a major league pitcher, with an ERA of 5.51, but he hit well, with a triple and a walk in five plate appearances.
He was used heavily in the minors, pitching at least 275 innings each year from 1920-23.
