Offermann Stadium was home to the Buffalo Bisons of the International League for many years. The park, originally called Bison Stadium, was located on the site of the Bisons' former home, Olympic Park. The stadium was a singled decked concrete and steel park, and most of the grandstand was covered by a roof. On July 3, 1930, the park was the site of the first night game in the high minor leagues. Bison Stadium was renamed Offermann Stadium in 1935 after the death of team owner Frank Offermann. The city of Buffalo condemned the park in 1960 to make way for a junior high school which still stands on the park's former site. The Bisons moved into War Memorial Stadium for the 1961 season.
