Offa Neal played for the 1905 New York Giants. John McGraw liked his play in college and in the minors at Springfield, and so picked him up. Neal spent most of 1905 at Baltimore where he did well enough that he was said to be on the list to go to spring training in 1906 with the Giants.
The Sporting Life on April 23, 1910 reported that he had signed to play for Freeport.
He managed the Henderson Hens for part of 1912.
Neal was a schoolteacher during the winters.
