Founded in 1852 as a boys finishing school, Oak Ridge Military Academy operated as a junior college from 1929 to 1967. Since 1972 Oak Ridge has been a private, coeducational, college-preparatory military boarding school. Alumni include Chubby Dean, Al Evans and Ben Shields.
