O'Rourke pitched one game (nine innings) for the 1872 Brooklyn Eckfords. The team played 29 games that year (losing 26), and used five pitchers.
The only other player in the league at the time with the last name O'Rourke was Jim O'Rourke, who played infield and catcher for the 1872 Middletown Mansfields. He did pitch a few games in the majors much later in 1883-84.
