Norman Shope pitched in the minor leagues from 1937 to 1955. He led the 1939 Appalachian League with 154 strikeouts, the 1943 Interstate League with a 2.65 ERA, the 1947 Piedmont League with 253 IP and the 1944 Interstate League with 158 IP, 2 W, and 239 SO.
Shope managed the Pocatello Cardinals for part of 1951 and was interim manager of the Charleston Rebels in 1953 (4-5).
