Noelvis Entenza was horrible in his first four seasons in Cuba, going 1-11 with a 6.96 ERA and walking 128 batters in just 94 1/3 IP. In his fifth campaign, 2008-2009, the Cienfuegos hurler went 7-6 with a 4.27 ERA. He tied Wilber Perez for 7th in the Serie Nacional with 89 strikeouts, tied Ubismey Bermudez for 3rd with 64 walks and tied Aroldis Chapman for first with 14 wild pitches. He was then put on Cuba's roster for the 2009 World Port Tournament and was 0-1 with a 4.09 ERA in the event, taking Cuba's only loss; he also had the staff's highest ERA.
