In addition to the New Orleans Pelicans, the city of New Orleans was home to a second team in 1912 - the New Orleans Little Pels. They went 14-9 and were in second place in the Cotton States League when they moved to Yazoo City, MS on May 8, becoming the Yazoo City Zoos. The team was managed by Gene DeMontreville, who also played.
