The New Jersey Jackals have played in three minor leagues. They began in 1998 and spent their inaugural season in the Northeast League. The Jackals joined the Northern League East in 1999 and stayed through the 2002 season. The following season they rejoined the Northeast League, which became the Can-Am Association in 2005. The Jackals have been quite successful on the field, capturing one Northeast League title and two Northern League championships.
