Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Neil Wagner was selected by the Cleveland Indians in the 21st round of the 2005 amateur draft. He was signed by scout Les Pajari and made his pro debut the next summer.

While playing for the Lake County Captains in July of 2007, he and Hector Rondon combined on a no-hitter against the Delmarva Shorebirds.

Wagner was purchased by the Oakland Athletics in May, 2010 and made his major league debut with them on August 30, 2011. He pitched a scoreless inning against his former organization, the Cleveland Indians, on his debut, then repeated it the next day.
