  • Height 5' 7", Weight 117 lb.

Nattapong Meeboonrod pitched for the Thailand national team in the 2007 Baseball World Cup. Against the Netherlands, he relieved Krissada Heebthong with a 6-0 deficit after five and promptly allowed seven hits, two walks and two hit batsmen to the 15 batters he faced, with 10 runs (9 earned) in one inning; he did strike out two. Against Team Canada, he allowed two runs in two innings of relief and again struck out two. The southpaw gave up three runs in 1 2/3 IP in a record-setting 26-1 loss to Australia; he was actually the second-best of the four hurlers Thailand tried in that game. Overall, his 27.00 ERA tied for 4th on an 8-man staff. Opponents hit .500/.571/.800 against him. His four strikeouts were third on the team behind two pitchers with more than double his inning total, Heebthong and Wachira Tongthong.

Meeboonrod is one of two left-handed pitchers (along with Sek Sitthikaew) on Thailand's roster for the 2010 Intercontinental Cup. His brother Nattapong Sampahangsit was also on the team.
