[edit] Biographical Information
Nat Jewett played two games in the 1872 National Association at catcher.
He enlisted to fight in the Civil War in 1861. He was playing amateur baseball as early as 1866, when he was catcher for the New York Mutuals.
According to the book When Johnny Came Sliding Home', he tended to follow pitcher Phonney Martin from team to team.
