[edit] Biographical Information
Myril Hoag enlisted in U.S. Army Air Corps in November 1942 and was discharged in November 1943. He wore the smallest shoe of any Major League player, size 4 on the right foot and 4½ on the left. He had to have them specially ordered. He went six for six on June 6, 1934. Converted to pitching, he fanned 280 batters for Gainesville at age 41 in 1949.
