"Critchley in his day was a famous pitcher and made one world's record. He pitched and won five games in one day. He also pitched an 18-inning game against the old Allegheny team when he wore the uniform of Auburn, N.Y." - Sporting Life, March 19, 1910
Morris "Morrie" Critchley pitched in the majors in 1882. Born in 1850, he was 32 when he came to the majors.
After his playing days he worked in a couple saloons and then started his own saloon and hotel. He was said to have died of heart disease.
