[edit] Biographical Information

Monte Kennedy pitched 10 seasons in Organized ball from 1942 to 1954, eight in the Major Leagues and 3 in the minors, losing three years to the Military. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps for three years during World War II (BN). He pitched eight years for the New York Giants. Pitched 14-0 no hitter against Louisville of the American Association, 1946-06-10. He retired as a detective for the Richmond, VA Police Department. He died at age 74 and is buried at Dale Memorial Park in Chesterfield, VA.
