Mitch Nilsson is an Australian baseball player who plays catcher and is currently with the Cleveland Indians organisation.[1][2]. He is the son of Gary Nilsson, cousin of Jay Nilsson and nephew of Bob Nilsson and former All-Star Dave Nilsson.
He has played with the |Australia schoolboy team,[3] Australia AAA team, AA team twice[4] and single A (Cal Ripken team).[5] He played in the 2008 World Junior Championship. [6]
Through 2009, Nilsson has not played a game in Organized Baseball. He hit .262/.331/.341 in the 2009 MLB Australian Academy Program. [7]
