The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference is a Division-III athletic conference in the state of Minnesota. The MIAC was formed in 1920 when the Minnesota members of the Tri-State Conference split from the Dakota members of the conference due to differences over proposed rule changes. Carleton College, Gustavus Adolphus College, Hamline University, Macalester College, St. John's University , St. Olaf College and the University of St. Thomas were charter members. Baseball was one of the three sports that the MIAC awarded chapionships in its year.
