[edit] Biographical Information

Michael Aaron "Mike" Walker appeared in five games with the 1992 Seattle Mariners in June and July 1992. He was a year younger than teammate Randy Johnson.

Walker was born in Houston, TX and attended the University of Houston in 1984-86, his time there overlapping with that of Steve Cummings, Anthony Young, Steve Decker and Jeff Banister.

Picked by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the second round of the 1986 draft, he pitched in the Pirates' organization from 1986 through part of 1989. Thereafter, through 1993 he was in the Mariners organization and in 1994 he was in the organizations of the San Francisco Giants and Texas Rangers.

He is not to be confused with another Mike Walker (Michael Charles Walker), also a pitcher, who was in the majors in 1988, 1990-91 and 1995-96. Michael Charles Walker was born in 1966 while Michael Aaron Walker was born in 1965.
