Mike Stanton was signed as a 13th round pick in the 1987 amateur draft by the Atlanta Braves and scout Red Murff.
Stanton pitched in every postseason from 1991 through 2002, except for the 1994 strike season. Made 552 relief appearances before making his first career start in 1999.
