Mike Muldoon played five seasons in the major leagues, primarily as a third baseman. Earlier, he had been a second baseman in semi-pro ball for the Brocktons.
In 1882 he hit his first major league home run off John Ward. He went on to hit the most homers that year among major league rookies.
Muldoon was born in Ireland (a year before Tony Mullane was born there) but his death place and date are unknown.
