Mike Kume is the only major league player from Premier, West Virginia (through 2007). He pitched just six games for the Kansas City Athletics in 1955. He went 0-2 with an ERA of 7.99.
He pitched in the minors for over a decade, including several seasons with Savannah. He best year may have been 1954 when he went 14-7 for them.
