Mike Kashirsky is a former minor league player in the Chicago White Sox organization. He played collegiate baseball at St. Joseph's University and was an assistant coach there in 2000-2002. He then served as a varsity assistant coach for Providence Catholic High School in 2002-2005. In 2006-2007 he was head coach at Moraine Valley Community College. Kashirsky was a coach for the Windy City ThunderBolts of the Frontier League in 2007, then was named head coach at Robert Morris College while still serving as bench coach for Windy City.

On July 7, 2008, he was promoted to manager of the ThunderBolts replacing Brian Nelson. Nelson was fired for incuring a six-game suspension for a tirade against an umpire in a loss the previous day. Kashirsky turned the team around and led it to the league championship in a sweep over the Kalamazoo Kings. He returned to his college coaching duties after the season.
