Mike Hartley pitched 202 games in the major leagues from 1989-1995. He pitched for the Chiba Lotte Marines in 1994 and for Nettuno in Serie A1 in 1998. He was an assistant coach for the Reno Silver Sox from 2005-2007. For 2008, Hartley was hired as head coach of the Heidenheim Heideköpfe in Bundesliga and would also pitch part-time.
