Mike Davis was signed as a 3rd round pick of the 1977 amateur draft by the Oakland A's and scout Phil Pote.
- Brother of Mark Davis, and cousin of Dave Grayson, NFL defensive back.
- Drew the walk to become the tying run just prior to Kirk Gibson's famous walk-off home run in Game 1 of the 1988 World Series.
