[edit] Biographical Information
Following his playing career, Mike Cubbage was a manager in the New York Mets organization and then a Mets coach from 1990 to 1996. He managed the team briefly in 1991. He was the Houston Astros' third base coach from 1997 to 2000 and the bench coach in 2001. After the 2001 season he was named Special Assistant to General Manager, but left the team and was a coach for the Boston Red Sox in 2002 and 2003. He then became a scout for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. In 2011 he was a special assignment scout for the Rays.
