Mike Butcher was the pitching coach for the Butte Copper Kings in 2000, Arkansas Travelers in 2001 and the Salt Lake Stingers in 2002. He was the Anaheim Angels' roving pitching instructor from 2003 to 2005 and was the Tampa Bay Devil Rays pitching coach during the 2006 season. After the '06 season, he became pitching coach of the Los Angeles Angels, replacing Bud Black.
