Mike Baxes played mostly shortstop for the 1956 Athletics and mostly second base for the 1958 Athletics.
In 1956 he backed up Joe DeMaestri while in 1958 he alternated with Hector Lopez at second base while Hector sometimes played third.
Mike started in the minors in 1949 and played through 1961. Seven of the years were spent in the PCL, and he was sometimes on the same team as his brother Jim.
