Pitcher Mike Moore was signed as the first overall pick in the 1981 amateur draft by the Seattle Mariners and scout Bob Harrison.
He was the first primary pitcher to ever bat in the history of the Seattle Mariners on April 24, 1987; he hit into a force play.
Moore broke a ten year hitless streak for AL pitchers by getting a hit in the 1989 World Series.
