[edit] Biographical Information
Mike Goodfellow was as much the regular rightfielder for the 1888 Cleveland Blues as Ed Hogan was. They both played 52 games in right for the team. Goodfellow hit .245 on a team which hit .234.
In 1889-90 he played for Detroit in the International Association.
Sporting Life of Jan. 4, 1888 referred to him as "Dave" Goodfellow of Port Jervis, NY, unless the reference was to a relative who also played catcher and also weighed 180 pounds.
He was said to have a "piratical cast of countenance, given him by the fierce black moustache he wears".
