Through 2009, Mike Garcia is the only foreign player to win the Chinese Professional Baseball League Most Valuable Player award twice. He was the first foreigner to win it in 1997 when he was 7-4 with 20 saves and a 1.89 ERA. 7 years later, the 36-year-old went 7-1 with 26 saves and a 0.71 ERA and took the honor again.
