Outfielder Miguel Negron was selected by the Toronto Blue Jays in the first round of the 2000 amateur draft and played six and a half seasons in their organization. In May 2005, he was claimed off waivers by the Chicago Cubs and played the rest of the year for the AA West Tenn Diamond Jaxx. He spent 2007 in the New York Mets farm system.
