Outfielder Mickey Pina was drafted in 14th round of the 1984 amateur draft by the Boston Red Sox. He instead went to college and was signed by the Red Sox in June of 1987.
Playing for the Lynchburg Red Sox, Pina was the 1988 Carolina League MVP, however he never made the majors.
