Catcher Mick Billmeyer was the Atlantic Coast Conference all-star at DH in 1985. He was drafted in the 2nd round of the 1985 amateur draft by the Baltimore Orioles. Billmeyer played in the minors from 1985 to 1992 in the Orioles' (1985-1988), Texas Rangers' (1988-1989), and California Angels' (1990-1992) oranizations, then one year of independent ball in 1993.
From 1994 to 1999 Billmeyer was a coach in the Angels' organization. From 2000 to 2003 he was the Philadelphia Phillies minor league catching coordinator. Since 2004, he has been a member of the Phillies' big league coaching staff as the club's catching instructor.
