The brother of big league pitcher Gavin Floyd, outfielder Mike Floyd was selected by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 22nd round of the 2001 amateur draft (the same year as the club took his brother in the first round). He played parts of three seasons in the Phillies organization and another in the Houston Astros farm system but never advanced above the Class A level.
