MVP of the 2006 Mexican League after hitting .363/.479/.683 for the Monterrey Sultans, with 92 runs, 30 HR, 94 RBI and 79 walks for the top team of the regular season.
Lopez hit .346/.346/.385 for the Águilas Cibaeñas in the 2008 Caribbean Series and made the Series All-Star team at first base.
