Pitcher Matthew Torra was selected by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 2005 amateur draft. He made his pro debut that summer with the Yakima Bears, going 0-1 with a 1.80 ERA in 5 games. He posted the same record and earned run average the next year in 7 games with the South Bend Silver Hawks.
