Pitcher Matt Lindstrom spent two years on a Mormon mission after graduating from high school and prior to attending Ricks College. He made his MLB debut on April 4, 2007 for the Florida Marlins in their 7-6 loss to the Washington Nationals. He pitched a scoreless third of an inning in his debut.
On the final day of the 2008 season, he picked up a save against the New York Mets; with that, he became the last man to pitch in Shea Stadium, as the Mets moved to Citi Field in 2009.
