Matt Erickson hit .455/.478/.591 for Team USA in the 2001 Baseball World Cup, splitting shortstop duties with Zach Sorensen. He fielded .870 and Hirokazu Ibata made the All-Star team instead.
Erickson was a coach for the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers in 2009-2010 before being named manager in 2011.
