Matt Erickson hit .455/.478/.591 for Team USA in the 2001 Baseball World Cup, splitting shortstop duties with Zach Sorensen. He fielded .870 and Hirokazu Ibata made the All-Star team instead.
Erickson will make his coaching debut in 2009 for the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers.
