Pitcher Matt Campbell was selected by the Kansas City Royals in the first round of the 2004 amateur draft and made his pro debut that summer with the Idaho Falls Chukars, going 0-2 in 4 starts. He spent the next year with the Burlington Bees, going 1-5 with a 4.66 ERA in 13 games. After missing the entire 2006 season, he spent most of 2007 back with the Bees, with whom he went 4-2 with a 4.13 ERA in 15 games.
