Matt Kinzer pitched 9 games in the major leagues in 1989 and 1990. In the minor leagues from 1984-88, he had a record of 34-25.
Punter for Detroit Lions during 1987 NFL player's strike. 7 punts for a 34.0 avg.
After his major league days, he served as a scout for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, and has been an agent and as well as director for Kinzer Camps.
He was on the Purdue University team at the same time as Rico Rossy.
In 2010 he became an assistant coach at Taylor University. His son, Taylor Kinzer, was drafted by the Los Angeles Angels out of Taylor University in the 24th round of the 2009 amateur draft.
