Matt Cain was drafted by the San Francisco Giants in the 1st round of the 2002 amateur draft. He was signed by scout Lee Elder and made his pro debut that summer.
The first home run that Cain hit came in the same game as Barry Bonds' 757th. This is the highest number ever by a teammate of a player hitting his first career home run.
