[edit] Biographical Information
As a scout for the Detroit Tigers, Krug advised the family of a player in San Diego, CA that he was too skinny and frail to play baseball. He told the mother to discontinue her son's playing career out of concern for his safety. Ted Williams went on to a Hall-of-Fame career anyway.
Krug was the head baseball coach at UCLA from 1937 to 1939.
