[edit] Biographical Information

Martin Miller was president of the German Baseball Federation from 1988-2001, a time of dynamic growth for German baseball. He helped focus on developing the game at a local level and building the German national team through home-grown players rather than ringers (as the Spanish national team or British national team were doing). The results paid off as Germany won a Medal in the 2010 European Championship, their first in decades, and produced a number of minor leaguers. In 2001, he was inducted into the German Baseball Hall of Fame, the 4th inductee ever and the first non-player. From 1998-2005, he was on the executive board of the Confederation of European Baseball. From 2005-2012, he served as President of the CEB. He suddenly stepped down in March 2012 during the CEB Congress after proposed statute changes were rejected and was replaced by Petr Ditrich.
