Mark Shapiro

Mark Shapiro has been General Manager of the Cleveland Indians since 2001 and has been with the club since 1992. He was the director of player development from 1993 to 1998 and assistant GM from 1999 to 2000.
Prior to joining the Indians, Shapiro played college football at Princeton University. On February 18, 2010, it was announced that he would take over as President of the Indians at the end of the 2010 season, with his assistant, Chris Antonetti, taking over as GM.
