Lemongello's cousin, Mike Lemongello, was a pro bowler.
On April 15, 1978 Mark Lemongello pitched a complete game 6-1 victory for the Astros over the Cincinnati Reds. Lemongello had a no-hitter through 7 complete innings before Johnny Bench led off the top of the eighth with a long home run.
