Biographical Information
Mark Christman was a shortstop and third baseman who spent 9 seasons in the major leagues, in 1938-39 and 1943-49. He was the third baseman on the 1944 St. Louis Browns that won the pennant. He hit .271 on a team that hit .252. He also led the league in fielding percentage at third base that year.
Christman served as a player-coach for the Milwaukee Brewers of the American Association from 1950-51 then managed from 1952-53 for San Angelo and Wichita. From 1954-73 Christman served as a part-time scout.
