Marcus Hanel is the current (March 21, 2011) bullpen catcher for the Milwaukee Brewers.

Prior to his current position, Hanel played in the minor leagues from 1989 to 2009 for in the Pittsburgh Pirates (1989-1997), Atlanta Braves (1998) and Arizona Diamondbacks (1999) systems. He played in 658 games, hitting .193 with 21 home runs and 171 RBI in 2,060 at-bats.

He was originally drafted by the Pirates in the 18th round of the 1989 amateur draft.
